How does the payment process work between buyers, sellers, and DOVA?
When a customer makes a purchase: 1) The customer pays the full amount via Stripe, 2) Stripe automatically deducts their processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30), 3) DOVA holds 100% of remaining funds until delivery confirmation + 7 days, 4) After the hold period, DOVA takes our 6% commission and releases the remaining amount to the seller. All payments are processed securely through Stripe Connect.
What happens if a buyer requests a refund?
If a buyer requests a refund for items not received or significantly different from descriptions, DOVA can immediately process the refund using funds held from the seller's payment. This ensures quick customer service and buyer satisfaction. Since we hold 100% of seller funds until delivery + 7 days, we always have sufficient funds available for legitimate refund requests.
